June 2025 - Donation of Tablets and Scholarship to Top Students in El Caimito
Fundación Caimito City continues to champion education and academic excellence in our community. This year, once again, we proudly recognized the most dedicated students with a meaningful gift — a token of our appreciation that reflects our belief in their potential and our commitment to their future.
The 25 outstanding students were carefully selected by teachers and school directors from both El Caimito Afuera — Professor Federico Muñoz and Olimpia Acevedo de Almanzar — and El Caimito Adentro — Centro Educativo Caimito Adentro. These remarkable students stood out as the best of the 2024–2025 academic year, which recently concluded.
We hope that this small gesture continues to inspire not only the recipients but also their peers to strive for academic excellence and pursue their dreams with determination.
Additionally, Fundación Caimito City proudly awarded its third annual "Estudiante Meritorio" scholarship to the top student from Centro Educativo del Nivel Secundario Cardenal Karol Józef Wojtyła. This prestigious award recognizes not only academic achievement but also the student’s intention to pursue higher education. This year’s recipient was awarded RD$50,000 toward their college journey.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all those whose generous contributions made this initiative possible. We are especially grateful to our colleagues at New York Life Insurance Company for their ongoing support of Fundación Caimito City, and to our friend and Board Member, Dr. Jeff Stewart, who once again served as one of the main sponsors of this event. We also sincerely thank the principals of the participating schools — José Fernández, Fanny Mercedes Arias, Emilio José Peña López, and María Alejandra Pérez from Centro Educativo del Nivel Secundario Cardenal Karol Józef Wojtyła — along with all the dedicated teachers who gave their time and energy to make this effort a success. Your commitment to such a noble profession is deeply appreciated, and your support played a vital role in bringing this meaningful activity to life.
Special thanks to our incredible FCC volunteers and coordinators — Ángela, Bertico, Alfaquenis, Alexandra, Daruin, Federico, and Bertico from Defensa Civil — we cannot thank you enough. As we always say, without you, none of this would be possible. Your time, energy, and collaboration with school staff were instrumental in bringing this initiative to life.
